Chemistry -We offer a comprehensive menu of clinical chemistry tests including metabolic panels, liver and renal function tests, and lipid profiles. A wide variety of panels are offered to meet the diagnostic needs of physicians and health care providers. Results are reported within 24 hours of specimen receipt.
Endocrinology - We offer testing for a wide spectrum of hormones and precursors, including HCG, LH, FSH, testosterone, TSH, and free T4. Results are reported within 48 to 72 hours of specimen receipt.
Hematology and Coagulation - We have the ability to provide hematology services on specimens collected and properly stored for up to 5 days prior to analysis. Complete automated blood counts, reticulocyte counts and comprehensive smear review are performed. Routine coagulation testing is performed by an optical clot-detection method. Specialized coagulation testing is also available. Results are reported within 24 hours of specimen receipt.
Immunology - We offer routine testing for hepatitis A, B, and C, HIV, syphilis, rubella, measles, mumps, and varicella zoster. Additional testing may be available upon request. Results are reported within 48 hours of specimen receipt.
Microbiology - Our capabilities and expertise in Microbiology allow us to perform a wide variety of tests, including: antimicrobial susceptibility testing, bacteriology, blood culture testing, parasitology, and many rapid qualitative tests.
- Group A Streptococcus and Group B Streptococcus testing are performed by nucleic acid hybridization.
- Bacterial identifications and susceptibilities are performed by instrumentation with colorimetric and turbidimetric methodologies.
- Blood cultures are performed by instrumentation with colorimetric methodology using CO2 production to detect positive cultures.
- Parasitology is performed Monday through Friday.
- Rapid qualitative test kits are performed stat with the arrival of the sample. These include: RSV, Rotavirus, Giardia & Cryptosporidium, C. difficile Toxins A&B, Influenza A&B, S. pneumoniae Antigen, E. coli O157, and EHEC Shiga toxins 1&2.
Results are available with the quick turnaround time that is essential to the patient care and provider's needs.
